Wow, well that was a tough one. I've been battling a respiratory infection for the last month, so this was my first run and first real exercise since then. Phew! Not my best, but accomplished my goal of doing it all in one session. :)
I set out to run this 5k with my dog Kylie (she's my best running bud), but we encountered a 'friend' - a stray dog in the neighborhood. So our run took much longer than normal because it consisted of going door to door to find the dog's owner. The good news? We did! Yay!
Had a great time running with my whole family, including our dog. The first mile was a little slow with the boys, but still ended up with a 32:00 5k. Not too shabby! Kylie and I made some stops for pics along the way...camt neglect the photo contest! 😉 The weather was perfect. We could have run more if it weren't getting dark. Ready for our next run!
I always forget to add extra time into my estimate when running with my dog. Potty breaks, photo ops ( darn photo contest, ha!), meet and greets, etc. It was a great run though, and the weather cooperated just in time!
